the ideal seasonal transition trousers

The last days of summer are always tricky – you’re excited to bust out the fall clothing, but realistically it’s too hot to don sweaters just yet. I like to start my autumnal transition with a good pair of trousers. This pair is the perfect hybrid between a tailored pant and a classic pair of jeans. I like to style them with feminine tops in black or ivory and a casual kitten heel pump.

For fall, I plan to style these pants with mini cardigans and cropped chunky crewnecks (I recently picked up this one, which looks perfect with these!). They’re the perfect length to show off ankle boots, like this one with a square toe heel or even a chunky chelsea boot.
