With multiple spaces to choose from—each more aesthetically pleasing than the last—you really can’t go wrong. Personally, I’ve got my eye on the cozy little nook tucked into the back corner of the 3rd floor. It’s just the spot for getting deep into conversation with a great date (or a great friend). . I love vintage furniture and imo Lucketts is one o I love vintage furniture and imo Lucketts is one of the best spots in DMV area to find it. There’s at least 5 great shops in this tiny town with everything from furniture to tableware to garden accessories, clothing and jewelry, too. We took a recent jaunt last weekend and came away with a set of antlers for our bedroom wall and loads of inspiration for future home makeovers. . I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat at nearby @Roots657 (their burgers are delicious!). And if you’re looking for a place to stretch your legs, take a stroll through the grounds of nearby @morvenpark — it’s very scenic and rarely crowded. . Our favorites of James Beard award winning Chef @masako_morishita’s magical creations: the garlicky edamame dumplings (which once you pop, you can’t stop), dashi bouillabaisse, deep fried mochi with cured salmon caviar, and the sushi selection (of course). Highly recommend the red bean whipped monaka w/Japanese black sugar coffee gelato for dessert — it’s like a fancy ice cream sandwich! . We dined on their beautiful rooftop deck, but the inside is equally enticing if the weather doesn’t agree. Perry’s, expect to see us back very soon. 🥢 . . . Of course these recs are fantastic during ski season, but I bet many are open and fabulous for late spring and summer trips too! . STAY - Crystal Peak Lodge - This lodge was right on the mountain within a stones throw of the gondolas & lifts, with a picturesque lounge area, outdoor hot tubs, as well as a 24 hr front desk. And with @epicpass we got 20% off our lodging! . EAT - @Breckdistillery - An impressive selection of whiskey, gin, and other spirits -- everything on their cocktail menu is made in-house. The mouthwatering steak selection and globally-inspired menu makes for an elevated dining experience. - @micasabreck - I have the best memories of getting tex mex for dinner on ski trips as a kid, so I had to continue the tradition with my family. This place hit the spot - killer salsas and delicious tacos! - @blucowcafe (Vail) - Get the European mountain experience with these yummy Swiss hot dogs, fantastic beer selection, and the most magical chicken noodle soup you've ever had. . SHOP - @Limber.Grove - A ski and snowboard store featuring mind-blowing skis and boards designed by independent artists. Definitely check out their apparel too! - @vintagebohoindielove - Really cool vintage and current clothes from indie designers. I picked up a fun pair of sunglasses I had to wear immediately. - @breckkidzboutique - Super cute clothes, mostly for younger kids. Fun Breck-themed hats and sweatshirts, too! - @gorsuch (Vail) - Admittedly very high end, but it's fun just to peruse for inspiration even if you're not buying. I love the alpine-inspired furniture and homewares and ritzy ski clothing. The outside is such an aesthetic. . I had the pleasure of being treated to all of the above at a trunk show featuring the newest collections from @jennycipolettijewelry and @sarahflint_nyc at one of the beautiful townhouses at @rosewoodwashingtondc. As a longtime fan of @jennycipoletti, it was an absolute pleasure to meet her IRL and see her stunning designs up close. I’ve always heard rave reviews about the comfort level of Sarah Flint’s shoes and I can now attest, that yes, the hype is very real (and the latest styles are extremely covetable). . Thanks you so much to @cutdc for hosting us for a mouthwatering brunch and lively conversation with some of my favorite DC area creators. It was truly one for the books! . . . I can’t tell you how many times we got this ques I can’t tell you how many times we got this question when we told people what we were doing for spring break, but it is possible! . @breckenridgemtn is one of the few ski resorts that stays open late in the season and statistically has great conditions through April. With our @epicpass we got 20% off our on-mountain lodging and were also able to ski/snowboard for no additional cost at nearby @vailmtn (which ended up being open later than we originally thought). I’d never done spring skiing out west and now I see why everyone raves about it. The weather’s fantastic, the snow feels amazing, and the mountains are stunning. . My next post I’ll share a round up of where I ate, shopped & stayed. This trip was too good not to share! . . .
