the affordable clean skincare brand I’m loving

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know I’m a big fan of clean beauty. Having sensitive skin, I find products that are free of fragrance and unnecessary additives serve me best. So when Maelove, a clean beauty brand I’d been hearing much about, reached out about sending me some products to sample, I was excited to try them. The price points for their products are surprisingly affordable, so I was curious to see if they could deliver the results I see from more expensive products.

Short answer: yes. After testing their products almost exclusively for 30 days, I’ve fallen in love with the whole line. And at such reasonable price points, I foresee myself using many of their products for years to come. Here are the four products I would purchase again in a heartbeat:

• Glow Maker: If you’re going to try just one product by Maelove, this would be the one I recommend. Of all the vitamin C serums I’ve tried over the years (and trust me, it’s been many), this one really delivers bang for your buck. I like that it’s quick-absorbing and light enough to use under a day or night cream.
• The One Cream: I’ve been searching tirelessly for the perfect day cream and my search is finally over. The One is just the perfect base for layering over serums, under makeup or sunscreen. I’ve use it both morning and night and my skin looks and feels so much smoother.
• The Night Renewer: As someone with sensitive skin that’s prone to redness, I’ve always had a difficult time with retinol. The Night Renewer has proved an excellent alternative. This cream uses glycolic acid to exfoliate and encourage cell turnover, but also includes calming ingredients (vitamin E, squalane, shea butter, arnica flower and aloe) and hyaluronic acid to hydrate. My skin loves this stuff and I can safely use it every other day with no signs of redness or irritation. 
• Love 31 Precious Face Oil: My skin has gotten drier as I’ve gotten older and I often need a deeper moisturizer, especially on my cheeks. The botanical extract blend in Love 31 is the perfect cocktail for dry skin. It’s light enough I can use it as a night cream replacement in the summer and wake up with a fresh, dewy-looking complexion. I expect this one to get lots of use in the winter!
