Leather pants have been a fall staple of mine for years. I’ve worn them with everything from sweaters to blazers to shirtdresses. In the past year or so, we’ve seen the emergence of new silhouettes that has me thinking I need to refresh my leather pant selection. The looser trouser style gives them a much more modern, toned down sex appeal. IMO, it makes them easier to style for daytime or dare I say even the (more progressive) office? This look is kind of an edgy/classy hybrid – keep the blazer on for dinner plans, take it off for drinks and dancing. But as I previously mentioned, they’re easy to dress down, too. I think this pair would look lovely with a slouchy turtleneck sweater and ankle boots or even a graphic tee and sneakers.
The pair I’m wearing is actually via Rent the Runway Unlimited (my favorite way to try out a new trend is to rent it first), but you can buy them here – that ankle tie detail is so good! Here’s a similar pair here for a steal. As for other styles I’m eyeing, I recently picked up these Celine-inspired culottes and I’m looking to buy a brown trouser style like this one. A couple more recs below!
