the perfect slouchy brown boot

This is probably going to sound dramatic, but finding the perfect pair of brown boots to replace my much-loved Michael Kors pair has become somewhat of an obsession for me. Coupled with the fact that I’m swooning over the Saint Laurent slouchy boot trend, it’s felt like the quest for a white whale. Obviously the real deal (which retails at a whopping $1800) is unrealistic, but I still wanted a good quality pair I could get at least a few years’ wear out of. I recently stumbled across this dead ringer for the Saint Laurent’s I love so much. And I mean dead ringer – I compared shaft height and width and there’s hardly a difference. The heel height’s slightly shorter, but practically-speaking, that’s not a bad thing. I can already attest to the fact that they look equally good with jeans as they do with this skirt – expect to see quite a bit of them in future posts this fall ;-).
