It’s the final piece of the puzzle! Sorry it took so long to post the whole thing. If you switch the jeans for the skirt, this is what I wore to a recent conference, but, to tell you the truth, I kind of hate suits. I think it’s some sort of deep-seated Ann Taylor/J. Crew/interview-related association I have with them. But in beige, it is only a muted form of evil, so I can stomach it. Anyway, long story short, I like this blazer with jeans.

I have had this wonderful brooch sitting in my jewelry box for much too long. I found it at a flea market way back in the springtime. No excuses for not wearing it sooner.

vintage Joseph Picone blazer
vintage brooch
Hermes bangles
J Brand jeans
Pour la Victoire shoes

PS Thank you so much Tasha for the award! I’m sorry I didn’t get my act together to do 10 things today :-/

I like so many details in this outfit: the buttoned up collar, the blazer color, the fun brooch. This is a great combination!

Oh I hate suits also! So formal, that's why I want a job that does not require any type of formal attire. But I do want a blazer. I love how they look with jeans and shorts.

'a muted form of evil' Ahh you crack me up!!!!

I do really love the blazer, as I often tend to love all blazers, though I'm not really a suit person. I generally don't like to be head to toe in the same color…

Chic on the Cheap

your blazer is incredible … it fits you so well ..too bad you dont like suits because you look insanely good in them ..and that brooch !!! i gasp

Mmmm beige and denim… I'm also loving the fact that all buttons on your shirt are, in fact, buttoned. Supreme!

I love this blazer with jeans. It looks great. Really nice color. I like it so much better here than I think that I would as a suit.
Plus, that brooch is amazing. I love the bit of color that it adds.

Love this look. I just recently posted a work outfit that had one part suit one part skinny pants, but mine was all in one color. I love the light color of the blazer with the rich color of the jeans. Those shoes are fantastic as well as the broach.

Reply

The brooch defiantly adds whimsy to the blazer, but I'm a shoe girl at heart and those shoes make the ensemble. I LOVE them!

Gorgeous blazer, and that brooch is stunning!

yes, if the suit came in pinstripes or navy blue, it would definitely have looked like an interview outfit…but the beige linen just made it sooo chic and laidback! love it!

Yup, the jacket goes nicely with the jeans! Is that your porch? You're so lucky to have one!

You have a great blog here – love this look. Sans jeans it could look at bit too formal.
