Truth: I’ve never met a scarf print blouse I didn’t like. So the fact that this trend took off this year wasn’t really a stretch for me to get behind. But here’s where I’m going to tell you why you should be a fan, too. First: they class up almost any look. From pairing with jeans and heels to a sleek black pencil skirt, this blouse instantly makes an outfit look that much more expensive. Second: they mesh well with a lot of personal styles. Whether you’re preppy or funky, minimalist or maximalist, it’s really all about how you accessorize. I wore this look to an event just before the holidays, so I decided to go glam with lots of gold accents. But take away the fur vest and switch the metallic boots for black pumps and you’ve got a classy look for going out with friends or a even a day at the office.
The blouse I’m wearing above is an vintage Escada find (and honestly this is a great piece to look for in thrift and vintage stores), but there are loads of inexpensive options online, as well. I love this Topshop version, this Mango one, and this boohoo option. Oh, and this Etsy shop has loads of the real deal if you want a vintage gem of your own! Happy hunting!
