While I was saddened to hear Zac Posen is shutting down his long-standing eponymous label, it’s heartening to know you can still find his designs in Brooks Brothers’ winter collection. Zac has a way with elevated ladylike style like no one else and it really shines with a classic American brand like Brooks Brothers. When Brooks Brothers invited me to style a look from the collection, I was particularly drawn to the tweeds in this collection. Having grown up riding horses in Virginia, this tweed hacking jacket brings back fond memories of going to horse shows in the fall. And the skirt is the perfect balance of feminine and sporty with its pleat detail and buckle accents. I added the navy knot print scarf to make the look a bit more city chic and I really love how the navy looks against the brown tweed. When I put this outfit on, it was the perfect look for strolling around Georgetown in the fall. Ironically enough, on the day I was photographing this look, the annual DC Tweed Ride was leaving from nearby Montrose Park and if I had brought my bike, I could have fit right in!

Check out a few more of my favorite pieces from the Brooks Brothers fall collection below!

Thanks Brooks Brothers for partnering on this post. All opinions are my own. Photos shot by Pablo Raya in Georgetown.

Yea, it’s so sad he had to shut down The House of Z! But I’m sure he’ll continue with partnerships like this and working with other brands!
I loooove that skirt! It perfectly pulls in the darker brown from the jacket too!

I’m loving all the tweed. I’m actually doing a trends report for a magazine and we are using some of Brooks Brothers tweed products.

This look suits you so well, I’m especially in love with how classic the blazer is, with your ruffled sleeves peeking out.

Such a stylish way to wear tweed! I think the scarf is the perfect accessory – the way you tied it and the colours just match so nicely with the tweed!

Hope that you have a great weekend ahead of you! It will be a quiet one here, we are all a little unwell and the smoke haze means we need to stay indoors mostly!
