Anthropologie fall fashion

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of walking in Anthropologie’s fall fashion show in Georgetown and the whole experience left me with a sense of female empowerment and camaraderie I never would have expected from a fashion event. The show benefited She’s the First and featured models of all shapes, sizes, ages, and skin color, all of which had personal connections to Anthropologie. We all quickly bonded and cheered each other on throughout the show. I gained so much admiration for the brand as a whole – the people that work there and its inclusivity. The most touching moment was after the fashion show, when one of our fellow models shared with us her journey as a transgender woman and how it began with an Anthropologie stylist that welcomed and assisted her at the store the first time she tried on women’s clothes. They remain close friends to this day.

Another one of my favorite moments was the group reveal after we all changed into our looks for the show. I saw so many items I’m now coveting for fall, as well as great styling ideas for how to wear them. The green plaid coat and sweater I’m wearing in these photos were part of one of my runway looks, both of which I’m very excited to wear IRL now that it’s finally cool enough. The other was this amazing leather jumpsuit that totally changed my perspective on jumpsuits historically, I wasn’t a fan). I also spotted this blouse and this corduroy jumpsuit go down the runway and can’t stop thinking about them.

Many thanks to Anthropologie for inviting me to be a part of this special event and for gifting me my runway look. The celebration of all women they created with this event is a fashion trend I would love to see spread!

That sounds like such a great event, so wonderful that brands are finally starting to be more inclusive! Loving the coat, such great colors! And I love the buttons on the sweater! Anthropoligie is always tempting me with such great pieces! If only I could afford them all, haha
