the power blazer

Seems like I have quite the affinity for gray and black lately. I wore this for a recent lunch date with a few of my favorite local bloggers. Since it was a workday I wore my best “power lunch” attire (hence the gray and black – my go-to work color palette). Isn’t it funny how bigger pieces equate to “more power” in fashion? I always go to a strong-shouldered blazer like this one when I want to be taken seriously. Do you think it’s because it makes us appear more masculine? An unfortunate reality probably, though I do love playing with menswear. I like that idea that one doesn’t have to dress femininely to feel confident.
