spring staples from Banana Republic

Two versatile new staples with equally endless possibilities this spring: Banana Republic’s boyfriend chinos and navy seersucker blazer. The chinos are a nice deviation from the usual boyfriend denim, but just as easy to dress up and down. They’re so soft and comfortable for everyday wear, and I always like juxtaposing understated, casual pieces like these with something a little jazzy like the two-tone heels I wore here.

Then there’s this blazer – classic fit, but a little bit unexpected with the monochrome navy seersucker. The neck scarf fanatic in me thought it begged to be paired with one and some white denim and breton stripes to punch up the nautical vibe. And the nice thing about the seersucker being monochrome instead of the traditional stripes is how easy it is to layer over a myriad of printed spring dresses.
