The Wauwinet sits on a peninsula flanked by both Nantucket Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean, offering plenty of private beach space on both sides. Between walking on the beach and admiring the cozy, shingled cottages, it’s easy to see why we loved this place so much. When we first arrived, we were greeted with champagne (and sparkling water for me) and a little Nantucket-themed whale and baby book for our yet-to-arrive bundle of joy – such thoughtful gifts that we look forward to sharing with him soon! This trip was our babymoon, so we decided our main goal was to relax and enjoy ourselves, instead of rushing around trying to see everything there is to see on the island. This couldn’t have been a more perfect place to do it. The beds were comfy as clouds, the bath products were tops (I’m a bath product connoisseur), the staff was the most attentive of any we’ve ever encountered, and there were more than enough quiet places to lounge with a cool drink and beautiful view. I can’t think of a more perfect place to spend our last getaway before welcoming the newest addition to our family.
