I always find myself checking the latest from Day Birger et Mikkelsen whenever I want to find something original and interesting. This Danish line always seems to have pieces that stand on their own so, while they are a little pricey, they are affordable “upscale” clothes that you will be able to wear again and again, even as trends change. Each piece has unexpected details, making them more striking than the average blouse or sweater dress. For example, the gray and black sweater dress above has beautiful brass bead detail and the coat has the neat double pockets on each side. Net-a-Porter is currently the only online vendor. In the past, I’ve gotten some great deals on Day stuff when there’s a Net-a-Porter sale.
