blue and white: color palette of the gods

As I've been decorating my new home, it's become clear to me that I'm partial to one color combination in particular. There's something very elegant about blue and white, so right now I'm focusing on the living room, but it's really perfect for any room. Here's the inspiration I've been drawing from lately...

Phoebe Howard decorated a home based almost entirely around this color scheme - mind-blowing! Her site has loads of blue and white inspiration.

Best. Bathroom. Ever.

Hah! Right you are...I just bought a scrumptious blue and white area rug for my living room! Its so fresh, pretty, and sophisticated, softer than black and white, and makes other colors pop. Long distance high-five.

Thease are great inspiraton photos. I am very into decorating as well. I have renovated and remodeled and expanded two homes and decorated every inch of them. Big fan of blue and white as well but I like add a pop of color to that scheme. Coral or red or black for example. Can't wait to see your finished home.

I hope we get to see what your living room looks like when it is finished!

I ust love that second photo! Maybe if you are looking for some blue-white vintage decorations I can recommand china from delft. It a very traditional kind of china from the netherlands and I also find it on our Belgian flea-markets a lot. It has kind of a tacky/farm style, if you know what I mean, but there can be very beautiful pieces out there :) x

If I could recreate every one of these rooms in my own home, I would! It's such a timeless, light combination of colors. If only I had another room to decorate in my apartment...

Wow! These pictures are so beautiful! Very inspirational indeed!
I love blue as well, in fact it's quite a frequent colour in my wardrobe! I find that pairing it with white gives it a really fresh feeling, perfect for spring - definitely a must-try both at home and with clothes!

I've worn navy every day this week, I can't get enough of it.

The wallpaper in the house fourth from the bottom is magnificent, although I wonder, it could be painted on, which would be even more fabulous. Mental note: paint masterpiece on house walls—hopefully!

So lovely! I've always loved this combination, perhaps because the bowls my mother used when I was a little girl were blue and white with scenes from Japan. They were beautiful, and I've always wanted to find some place settings in this palette. Lovely picks!
