I said, "howdy." He said, "hi."

I said, "howdy." He said, "hi."

K and  I have been discussing for some time now the necessity of finding a good plaid flannel shirt, though neither of us had succeeded until the other day, when I was half-heartedly looking for some sort of warm covering to wear with my loungewear.  The light bulb went off that I had seen a few plaid pieces in B's closet.  Yoink!  K liked the pearl buttons.  Also recently decided that layered knee/over-the-knee socks are a great alternative to tights when padding around the kitchen and such.  And yes, still loving the clogs.

PS I was so pleased to read how many of you are fans of The Wire!  Omar is one of my favorite characters on a television show in a long while.

  19. Oh dear, the Wire is the best written show in television history (and I say that with full confidence having not watched much television!) But the way it's written reminds me so much of a serialized novel (and all of my writer friends and MFA friends agree, at least the ones with good taste.) And my heart has never been broken like it was after the final episode of season 4.

PS--Did so much Wire rambling, I forgot to say I love your clogs!

  21. my sister just stole my flannel shirt i love. it sucks, but i think i'll get it back soon. maybe now is a good time to break in my new doc martins so i won't reach for a flannel on a lazy day and have everyone mistake me for a cool grunge chick. i've had my JC clogs for weeks and still haven't worn them. I love seeing them on other bloggers for ideas on how to wear them. the whole look is great!
