The holiday music is already starting to wear on me.  I like the holidays as much as the next person, but there are an astounding number of absolute crap covers that all retail stores seem to feel obligated to play on non-stop loops.  H&M and I are currently on a break because of this.  That and the whole “absence of Jimmy Choo/Matthew Williamson/Divided Exclusive collections” – bravo, Tysons H&M, bravo.

One good thing to come out of my recent holiday shopping experiences: this sweater.  My refusal to interact with H&M as of late forced me to revisit some old favorites, such as Anthropologie, and I had almost forgotten the marvelous selection of sweaters they have to offer, a lot of which were on sale.  I’m particularly stoked about this sweater, because it had these great buttons on the collar that allow one to wear it 4 different ways.  Here it is if you’re interested.

Anthropologie sweater
Costume Dept leggings
Givenchy boots
vintage necklaces
white amber ring that R got for me in Lithuania
green amber ring from a market in Biarritz
onyx ring from Colorado

PS The brave little boy who took on the rooster in the last post is my nephew.  I love his sweater in those photos, too, and I think it might have been a gift. Oh and he wears the cowboy hat pretty much regularly.

Tysons H&M fails epically! But at least the Anthro is good 🙂 I always seem to find something at the Forever 21 and Nordstrom too.

ahh you should hear the crap we play at work… "our faces are red and rosy and warm and cosy are we" on repeat for eight hours is not fun…

the style of sweater reminds me of Ann D's dress
which allows you to wear in different styles.

When you said that you and H&M are on a break now, I immediately guessed that your sweater is by Anthropologie and I was right. Love their sweater selections.

Sigh, the Christmas carols. My regular thrift shop routinely plays light hits, but in its Christmas-fied incarnation I cannot stand it for more than 10 minutes. I remember that sweater from Anthro, though, & I love it; but child, those leggings are WILD! I'm enamoured! They are so radiology-chic. I'm digging them 🙂

Some of the stores by me are even playing punkrock Christmas tunes in-store…which is cool and all, but it's played SO loud! It's hard to appreciate cashmere whenyour brain is about to implode!

i just found out over the weekend that an anthro is going in about an hour from me in rochester, ny (previously, the closest stores were nyc or philly…sigh…). i'm so, so excited. told the hubby that henceforth my b-day request will be a trip to anthro to pick out the item of my choice and dinner at our fave restaurant in rochester. (i like to plan ahead!!!)

Your title cracked me up. And I'm not a huge fan of Christmas music, either — I think the only time I can stand it is when I'm watching Love, Actually for the fifty-billionth time. For some reason that Christmas play makes my heart grow three sizes 🙂

Those boots rock! And convertible sweaters are pretty awesome. – JoAnn

Ugh, agree with the christmas loop thing… except when they play Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas is You'… cause that shit is classic.

Wild leggings! 🙂

i just choked on water reading your post title… 🙂 … i never really like santa. as a child, my parents never lied that he wasn't real and i thank them everyday because of it, ha! holiday music can make one such a grouch if its played on volume 11, following you to and through every major department store…

anyways, glad you've revisited anthro – this sweater is a keeper, and so creatively multifunctional.
