a bigger, better hobo

Remember back in the 2000s when hobos were, like, the “it” bag and everyone from Sienna Miller to Paris Hilton had one to stuff their tiny dogs into? I think it reached peak saturation at the end of the aughts and since then we’ve seen just about every bag silhouette from tiny to structured to barrel to bucket. Well when I was checking out my fall trends, I saw an old familiar favorite and it brought back the fondest memories of when Sienna and Jude were a couple and I absolutely had to have every boho article of clothing she owned. Yup, as the f/w 2017 runways would suggest, the oversized bag is back and Saddleback Leather sent me the perfect one to take for a spin. I love the shopping bag shape with the tough/luxe contrast of the tobacco leather and cool detailed straps. And if you’re not familiar with this brand, you should know that I’m a huge fan. They’re literally tough as nails and all come with a lifetime warranty (perfect for someone like me who really doesn’t treat her bags too kindly ?).
