I hope all of you statesiders had a wonderful Fourth. We just got back from a fun family vacation with friends in Cape Charles, Virginia (some of which you might have seen on instagram – more to come in future posts). But I’m still feeling the red, white, and blue vibe with this gingham-centric look. If you caught my live Facebook chat with Current Boutique, you probably picked up on my love for this classic combo and its versatility outside of Independence Day. I’ve been wearing multiple variations of this outfit throughout the summer and certainly don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. My general feeling is, so long as you aren’t rocking full-on stars and stripes, you can pretty much wear red, white, and blue year-round. But what do you think? Would you wear this color combination when it’s not the Fourth of July?

You can absolutely rock any colors year round – especially red, white and blue. I try to avoid too much black in summer but other than that I have no limits! Love that blazer

Love the nautical blazer with this, and that’s a beautiful skirt! 🙂

While I’m not American I definitely think you can wear red white and blue any time of year (I understand why it’s so popular on 4th July though!)

Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂

What a marvellous skirt !
I can imagine it also being used as a beach dress, tied at the chest.

Love the look! I’m not sure whether I would wear red white and blue when it’s not the fourth of July. Probably not on purpose, but perhaps by accident.
