Finally, onto one of the more substantial Paris posts! These were from a beautiful afternoon we spent at Château de Fontainebleau. Personally I thought it was prettier than Versailles. Certainly more interesting from the standpoint of diversity of style – it includes rooms and apartments completed and inhabited by many French notables, such as Napoleon, Louis XV, Francis I, Louis-Philippe I, and Marie Antionette.
