For at least a solid year now, maybe two, I’ve been on a hunt for a good-fitting, flattering button-down and you’d be surprised how hard that is to find. Anyway, the Brooks Brothers sale started so I tried a couple shirts on while B was trying on blazers and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! They fit very well and the contrasting collars and cuffs on this style are so shamelessly preppy, it’s kind of hard to pass up.

But I digress, this outfit was for a fun night out after a not-so-fun day (basement flooding can be a real mood-killer). B and I had to get out of the house for a little while and lucked out in securing a last minute table at Kaz Sushi Bistro, which might be my new favorite DC sushi joint. After dinner we met some friends at the Partisan for cocktails, which I really enjoyed, but think I might to go back to check out the stunning charcuterie selection…
