Burrata is one of those wonderful things that looks and tastes fancy and exotic, but isn’t very expensive or fussy. My good friend K and her husband introduced me to this wonderful cheese a few years ago. This is how they serve it and, frankly, I think there’s no better way. Just drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with lemon zest, toasted pine nuts, salt and pepper, et voilà! Serve with a warm baguette (ours came from LeoNora – I cannot speak highly enough of this bakery’s baguettes. I’m kind of a bread nut and I haven’t had a baguette this buttery and delicious since the last time I was in France. They’re really that good). Oh and if you’re looking for a good olive oil, we used Paesano, which we recently procured on a trip to Litteri’s – it’s pretty darn fabulous, too.
