A gorgeous evening like this on calls for a perfect cocktail to match. 🍸

Tonight I’m craving a “Pepinos Revenge,” a signature cocktail at @cutdc that I learned how to make during our recent stay at @rosewoodwashingtondc. Recipe below!
.
🍋‍🟩Pepinos Revenge 🥒
2 oz Milagro Silver
5 oz Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
4 Japanese Cucumbers Muddled
2-3 Basil Leafs Muddled
Pinch of Kosher Salt
.
Combine basil, cucumbers and salt in a cobbler shaker. Muddle. Add remaining ingredients to shaker. Shake 20x (preferably with a good rhythm 💃🏻). Double Strain into glass.

What a special experience to dine in a historic bu

What a special experience to dine in a historic building that hasn’t been open to the public in 30 years. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at @boucherie_us’s new DC restaurant, which officially opens tonight. Set inside a stunningly restored former bank, La Grande Boucherie most certainly is grand with a gilded ceiling and bronze fountain in the center. There’s already plans for a speakeasy in the basement and an Italian trattoria so I have a feeling this is about to be new DC hotspot. 🔥

This stunning hotel overlooking the canal in Georg

This stunning hotel overlooking the canal in Georgetown is one of my favorites. Besides @rosewoodwashingtondc’s convenient location to nearby shops & dining, it offers luxe rooms & amenities like @diptyque bath products, soaking tubs, a rooftop pool & gym with stunning views, and room service from their in-house restaurant @cutdc. Staying here always feels very special and pampered. Some of my favorite moments from this stay were:
• Enjoying cocktails & snacks in their rooftop bar overlooking the Potomac
• Taking in a long bath in the huge soaking tub (complete with fancy bath salts!)
• Indulging in a decadent breakfast with views of the canal from our bedroom window

I was lucky enough to do just that, celebrating the launch of @katie_kime’s Washington, DC toile — a collection that includes pajamas, wallpaper, trays and more, all featuring iconic scenes from around DC. This fabulous event was hosted at @rosewoodwashingtondc with ample delicious bites & cocktails from their in-house restaurant @cutdc (of course I had to sample multiples of everything 😉). So to say that this was way classier than your average pajama party is the understatement of the century.

Okemo, you were a blast and Vermont, I am already thinking about my next trip back. Your gorgeous mountain views and delectable food products (cheese, maple, craft beer and the lot) won my heart.❤️

Where we stayed:
- @okemomtn offers lots of ski in/ski out options that you can book directly through the resort. We stayed in one of the condos on the mountain and it was great being able to come home for lunch.
.
Where we ate:
- @mainandmountain for delicious cocktails & bar snacks. Cocktails are also available to go!
- @homestylehotel for elevated dining with a casual cozy feel.
- @singletonsstore for delicious breakfast & lunch sandwiches, as well as gourmet & everyday food & supplies.
.
P.S. Okemo just got 24 inches of snow this week so if you’re looking for a last minute spring break trip I highly recommend! 😉

Scenes from snacks a few nights ago at the very charming @mainandmountain. I hope that one day these photos will serve as inspiration for my home office. Until then, I’ll just have to wistfully remember the delicious cocktails we enjoyed while sharing a highly addictive creamy pickle dip + chips.

Afterward we dined at their sister restaurant @homestylehotel. We didn’t plan to do much eating out in Vermont, but both of these were well worth it. The vegetable dishes and pastas were definite highlights and the perfect comfort food after a long day of skiing. If you find yourself in @okemomtn, book a table here!

This fisherman’s knit was a thrift store find many years ago and it’s certainly a testament to its quality that it’s still in mint condition after all these years. I’m pretty sure it’s a men’s and the oversized fit was just what I was looking for when I stumbled upon it. Now I see many of my favorite high end stores charging a pretty penny for essentially the same thing.

Just a friendly reminder to always check the thrift stores for staples like these before buying new — you might be pleasantly surprised!

What a fun meal! It’s been a while since I’ve had such unexpected flavor combinations in every aspect of my meal. The food, the cocktails, even the desserts surprised me in the best kind of way. My favorites were the crab rangoon, squash with red curry & crispy seeds, fried quail & tomato rice, and green curry sponge cake. But honestly, just try everything (as a wise woman once said) — you won’t be sorry! @moonrabbitdc
