I know what you’re thinking: “A St. Patrick’s Day-themed outfit post? Really?” I know. I know. But fate played a hand in this one. I actually found this gorgeous lace coat (?) last week and just about died and went to heaven. I suspect it originally had a dress that went with it, but we can’t win ’em all, can we?
This is my grandmother’s sorority bracelet. Nothing beats a super-delicate bracelet in my book. My jewelry box is filled with stuff like this.
These shoes are really old. They’ve been looking awfully lonely on my shoe rack the last few years, but I couldn’t seem to bring myself to get rid of them. Good thing I didn’t or they might not have been able to fulfill their destiny to be part of this outfit. (Please ignore the purple toes. It was a whim.)

The details and color of the this lace jacket are incredible. I can only imagine what this must look like in person!
Breathtaking! Everything looks so dainty and elegant and just…beautiful. <3
Ooh I bet the lace coat would look awesome with more rugged pieces, too.
First thing that came into my mind…those shoes are kick-ass!!!!
All the pieces sport such intricate, textural details. I love that sort of thing. Gives a piece real weight, literally and figuratively.
Those shoes are seriously Steve Madden? But lord, girl, that coat is a delicate masterpiece! I ADORE it; it looks so sumptuously southern and gothic and GREEN and my GOD, you must take that with you the next time you go to New Orleans. It kind of looks like it belongs there….
Oh my goodness I love this soooo much!!
The jacket is amazing…I'm thinking I need to make one just like it!! (Since we know the chances of finding one that fabulous in a store is quite slim)

Wow, the mixture of lace is really beautiful. My local pub is offering pints of Guinness for £1.50 (cheap) today – it's a scary pub on normal days so I'll be walking a different route home to avoid being vomitted on by a regular.
The green lace jacket is perfect! I love it. And the lace dress is gorgeous as well.
Wow, the green lace jacket took my breath away, honestly, it's gorgeous.
Wow, the alternating lace is simply stunning. I am jealous you have such amazing garments in your closet! Happy St. Patty's day!

Ha, I wasn't going to wear green today either but wound up giving in. Why not? This is such an amazing coat!!! I would wear that every single day. To the grocery store. And Steve Madden made those shoes? They look way more expensive.
What a darling little number that green jacket is. A great find. Love the delicate nature of your outfit!
i love that this is both ultra feminine AND inventive – you just don't see this kind of lace coat around, and the colour is really special. another score! you look wonderful.

Your grandma isn't a kappa kappa gamma, is she? Snaps if she is! 😉
I was just driving to work this morning thinking, wow, I am probably a bad blogger for not doing a St. Patrick's themed post, but it's so hard to associate fashion with a holiday for which I spent the majority of my college career wearing themed t-shirts and attending kegs and eggs parties. So I applaud you! Well done. Every piece of this outfit is so intricate and beautiful. Those shoes are to die for. And is your grandma a KKG? Because that is the sorority I belonged to and one of our symbols was a key!
I adore that lace coat, it's beautiful and it looks amazing with the cream coloured dress.
wow, the lace is so beautiful. But, I REALLY love your grandma's sorority bracelet. That's such an awesome piece of family history to work into your wardrobe.

What a gorgeous and elegant outfit. I am adoring your shoes!
I am always on the hunt for a vintage lace coat–this one is gorgeous.
Oh my, this coat is so delicate. Love how you put all this lace and fine things together.
E, part of the reason I enjoy your blog is that your taste in clothing and your sense of style are so different from mine. You always give me something to think about. Like with this outfit… I love those colors, and I love lace, but would I ever end up with an outfit like this? Nope. 😛
Long story short, I adore the vintage lace coat (is it very delicate?) and the dress AND the purple polish.
A Stylized Hysteria
geez, that coat is stunning and the color is so beautiful on you. Your nails are the perfect modern touch to your vintage outfit!
I am in utter love with this outfit! that lace jacket is so beautiful! I wonder if it went with a matching dress?
Those shoes are gorgeous and there's no shame in a purple pedi!
I can't believe those shoes are Steve Madden- so cute. I love that you did a non-cheesy st. patty's day post- you look gorgeous!
That jacket and that dress are beyond awesome. And that you paired them together like that is genius. I am looking for a lace jacket next when I thrift…:)
Awww I love how you incorporated green into your look on St. Patty's! I was boring and just wore a green top, but I wish I had been more creative like you here! That lace coat is gorgeous!

My jaw dropped when I saw this outfit – truly a masterpiece. You are a genius. That it's all vintage (save the amazing shoes) and that the bracelet belonged to your grandmother — oh yes, THIS is the way to dress! – Patrice
