Now that the sun’s finally out, let’s talk fal

Now that the sun’s finally out, let’s talk fall things! 🍂 Here’s what’s on my DC area to do list this season:
.
- Apple picking (We had an awesome time at @greatcountryfarms where these pics were taken a couple weeks ago, but now we need a refill!)
- Paris 1874: The Impressionist Moment exhibition at @ngadc
- @waterford_fair (this weekend!)
- A hike up Old Rag Mountain (preferably during peak foliage)
- Basquiat x Banksy at the @hirshhorn
- Camping at Sky Meadows State Park
- A day trip to Luray Caverns (It’s been ages since I’ve visited and my son’s never been.)

This rain jacket has certainly gotten its fair share of use this past week. I picked it up last year mostly because it liked the style, not realizing it would become my favorite travel jacket. It’s lightweight, waterproof, and folds down into a pouch small enough to fit in your purse — great for fickle days when you’re not sure what the weather will do!

My suitcase was a mess of bright, crazy colors & prints, but boy was it fun to get dressed. I’m going to miss all the kitsch of the boardwalk and nostalgia from reliving my own childhood trips to the beach. No better place to give a send off to summer. ⛱️

The vintage necklace is my grandmother’s via a cool Scandinavian clothing store when she used to live in New Mexico.
