Full apologies if you see a lot of these boots in the near future. They’re one of those purchases that you never knew you’d wear so much when you impulsively purchased them. Luckily they didn’t break the bank (and they’re on sale right now if you want to snag a pair for yourself!).
I wore this to fashion critic Robin Givhan’s recent one-on-one with Diane von Furstenberg – part of the Washington Post’s series, “A New Line,” featuring interviews with fashion pioneers and industry leaders. The talk was fascinating – hearing about her upbringing as the daughter of an Auschwitz survivor (her mother taught her “fear is not an option”), how she broke into the New York market with the help of Diana Vreeland, and her brand’s resurgence in the early ’90s largely due to a partnership with QVC. Diane was wildly entertaining and has a wicked sense of humor. You can watch the talk in its entirety here.
