Increasing daylight and warmer nights has me thinking about improving my outdoor living space. These are some of the images I’m daydreaming about lately…

My husband and I are huge porch fanatics (see previous), so you might see a theme here…

What I wouldn’t give for a porch swing…

One of the most stylish fire pits I’ve ever seen.

Designing an outdoor space makes me want to be a kid again (a kid with lots of disposable income). If I were, I would load my imaginary dream yard full of whimsical things like these…

Another dream scene. Wouldn’t this be the best summer party idea?
Somehow making an outdoor chandelier work is my ultimate fantasy.
I’m always a sucker for rustic settings…
I’m always on the hunt for more inspiration. What are your favorite outdoor room ideas?

I want to live in every one of these and I want to live in them now. TREEHOUSE?! YESSS. Wanna go watch a movie outside and then sit on the porch swing all night? YOU BET I DO.

Some of the porches emulate beautiful southern charm. My favorite would have to be the seaside porch, such a clean and fresh view. And the whimsical swing–super cute and looks fun!

That hershey kiss shaped swing with the pillows inside is the perfect book-reading/hideaway spot… <3

Lovely porches. I love the southern wooden ones the best. And that one with the movie screen is sure amazing.
The thing is I think it is not just the porch but you kind of have to be on a street that people walk about and you can sit for hours and watch and chat with neighbors. Not sure if such streets exist here. But I can only dream.

Yes, yes, and YES! I want to go to there!

In all fairness, I have a lovely honeysuckle shaded porch of my own, with room for a bistro set and a few extra seats….and there is a pavilion in my backyard, though the canvas blew off in a freak tornado ( this is OREGON we're talking about!) last year, and I've yet to replace it.

But I still want to go live and eat dinner and take long naps in every single photo you've posted!

I so wish I had an outside porch, maybe I could be the first person in England to build one. I'll keep dreaming.

these are all amazing! I so badly want a porch too… My parents have a (i don't know the english word) veranda, a sort of glass house attached to the back of the house 🙂 It so wonderful to sit in there, looking onto the garden… x

oh, you've put me in my happy place today! We were wanting to do our backyard/really just a patio, this summer. I would love to have it one day be something spectacular! Even more so, I'd love a big yard with a big porch! I so share your love of porches! And I LOVE those Mason jar tea light holders: too clever.

Yes. Happy place achieved.

All I know is that when I get my own house it's going to consist of a balcony, front porch and veranda. Easily. Nice post!

great pics, no I want such a beautiful room or porch at my place. and the 'private cinema' is awesome!

Awesome collection of inspiration. I'm right there with you for most of them. Growing up, I always wanted a treehouse but we never had one. And porches are just fantastic all around, especially when they're big, wraparound and house porch swings.

These pictures really give me outdoor setting envy! I love that first porch swing, it looks so cozy…but truth be told, I'd be happy in any one of these places.

So incredible! I love the outdoor movie and bedroom photos. Makes me want to go on a luxurious camping trip 🙂

You really must visit Mackinac Island. I'd say it boasts some of the most beautiful porches in the country. Great photos, makes me want summer!

Oh that first porch is amazing, reminds me of the homes in Charleston, SC 🙂 And that beach porch so serene and lovely.

Makes me want a porch to begin with. Our apartment in SF only has a backyard patio (very little places with the luxury of any sort of space outside here). But were working on making it look nice, thank you for these awesome inspirational photos!
