Apocalypse Snow

Apocalypse Snow

Apocalypse Snow

Apocalypse Snow

So the weather is pretty out of control right now.  DC kind of goes to pieces when it snows, too.  All rules go out the window and the city turns into one of those surreal post-Apocalyptic landscapes with lions and tigers running around with zombies like it's no big thing.  As for the temporary blogging hiatus, well, the Nation's Capital shuts down for Snowmageddon and I guess I do, too. On the upside, I did do laundry today.  GTL, baby.

United Bamboo coat/dress
H&M gloves
KMRii bag
Eloise tights
Hue over-the-knee socks
Born boots
The Scotch House scarf

PS Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?  Who dat?!  Who dat?!  Lots of getting crunk last night, I tell you what.

I'm glad to see that you survived the crazy snow storm. I only live 2.5 hours south of DC and I can't believe you guys got pounded and we got 1 inch. geeze.

Anyways, your outfit is fab. I love those boots you've been wearing.

And your outfit is gorgeous!! You've definitely mastered how to look stunning in the freezing cold! :)

Love how you still manage to look super chic in a snow storm! Ah yes, I was in college during the blizzard of '02 or '03 in Maryland and it was literally a ghost town. The 7-11 was one in, one out like our bars. We lived at the bars in sweats for four days. Loved it!! xo, mel

So many great details in this outfit. I love the waist ties on your coat - I bet it looks so cute cinched, though I love this loose silhouette, too.

You're definitely staying stylish (and hopefully warm) in the midst of crazy weather. I love these pictures. The whole outfit is great, but those over the knee socks seem to be the perfect touch to me.

Fabulous layering - I love those socks over the patterned tights. You look amazing especially considering this awful weather. I have been in my pajamas for five days now. Ugh.

Christina said...

I love how you layered the patterned tights under knee high socks. I was happy New Orleans won too. Although I have no major tie to them.

I was about to ask, is it a coat or a dress? I love it.

Your photos make me love the idea of snow so much... but in reality I hate it. LOL

I think Boston is supposed to get some of the tale end of that storm tomorrow. Not looking forward to that; but if I had a cute coat like yours, I might rethink it.

Much love,
Amy

just found your blog and I love it. I go to college in DC, so I am happy to finally find another DC blogger. man, this snow is driving me nuts. I feel like everyone is going crazy. My friend and I finally ventured out yesterday to get out of our dorms and it seems half of the city had the same idea, it was impossible to find a seat at any restaurant! ugg. hope we get out of this mess.

btw, would you like to trade links?
