The first snow always reminds me that winter really isn't so bad after all. This post also marks the return of the big bad boots. They've been sorely missed. Technically, this coat thing is a dress (or so United Bamboo says), so I decided a cold, snowy day was as good an excuse as any to use it for its intended purpose.

Not fair, it ALWAYS snows in DC, and we're like, 1.5 hours away and it never snows here. As in ever. Anyway, that coat/dress is awesome, and I love these photos; the few bright leaves left on the trees look great with the jacket and little dusting of snow. And the lace-up boots, well, those are the best part!

It's snowy in Chicago for the first time this winter too :)
I should probably invest in some big bad boots myself, all I have at the moment are cute suede boots that I do not want to ruin with the snow + salt.
