B and I spent some time out of doors on Sunday.  With all the leaves on the ground, I kind of felt like I was in Sleepy Hollow.  I always love that movie, because it captures the Upstate NY climate so accurately.

This sweater has been a long-time favorite of mine.  Sometimes I worry maybe I wear it too much, because it’s just so easy.  It also doesn’t hurt that the robe-like collar reminds me of the overcoats in Edward Gorey books.

Express sweater
H&M shirt
Splendid leggings
Enzo Angiolini boots
Bally bag
needlepoint turquoise necklace

Wow, could that bag be perfection? If I had that bag, man, I'd be sooooo happy. And I love the second to last picture, especially. Very mysterious and whimsical 🙂

i loved sleepy hollow! (the movie and the story). I've never been to upstate ny, but now i must go! I am jealous that it is fall there and still summer here in houston.

I live in cardies like that during winter! Also I really love you bag and boots, the ties on the boots are a very sweet detail.

Pretty boots. Love the sweater too. Yeah, I love upstate NY. Such a cool mysterious place. I would hear all these tales how something in the corn in the fall would effect some of the young men in the area, centuries ago..as if they'd go mad or become werewolves.

Good movie, but unfortunately the real Sleepy Hollow is somewhat of a dump. I was very excited to drive through there a week or so before Halloween a couple years back, in hopes of exploring, but we just drove through because it looked pretty uninteresting. I was disappointed. They did have a Sleepy Hollow tale performance, but it was sold out. I was hoping there would be a Mexican restaurant that sold "Ichabod Cranitas."
