Chantilly Showdown

Chantilly Showdown

Chantilly Showdown

The lovely and eloquent princesspolitico tagged me for a fun post I've been wanting to try for a while. The rules are:
1) open your first photo folder
2) scroll down to the 10th photo
3) post the photo and a brief story behind it.

Chantilly (I think)

I'm 90% sure this photo is from Chantilly (outside Paris), but there's a definite possibility I'm wrong.  Either way, my balance must have been off that day or I was trying to do something clever and arty, because this photo is giving me motion sickness.  What I do remember about Chantilly is that it's a very long walk from the train station and that my friend, who was visiting me at the time, sat down and refused to walk any further until I agreed to get a cab.  I was a poor starving student so I remember being miffed I had to spend money on a cab.  To be fair, I think her feet were hurting pretty badly.  Looking back on the situation, I think I might have been a jerk.  Chantilly is also my favorite word to say in French.

Forever 21 vest

I wish I could share your excitement for the word "Chantilly" but sadly the first thing that comes to mind is the hideous DC suburb. When I first saw the photo and you said it was from Chantilly, I thought "In what industrial park are they hiding that interior?" Funny story.

Half my travel photos are similar to this one. :D
Love how you wear the leggings.

Okay, either leggings were made for you or you were made for leggings, & it's enough to make me want to exponentially expand my own leg-wear collection. Unfortunately I am not so gazellean as you, but oh, I'm inspired to fake it. You look stunning, always. Also, Paris?!! Covet!

I love your story! Let's just say the crooked photo is because you wanted to capture the full architecture, and there were too many tourists in the way/there was not an ideal photo location.

I buy it.

When traveling, I find that more photos than I would like come out a bit crooked, blurry, etc, because I'm trying to take too many in unfavorable circumstances.

Either way, your outfit somehow seems to match the photo of Chantilly....a mistake or pre-meditated? Regardless, the photos make a nice pair!

that photo is crazy, but I love it!

and I love your outfit....so comfy cozy
