I used to go to museums a lot, but lately I have not been so cultural. Some friends and I finally got our act together and went to the Portrait Gallery on Sunday.

This painting/installation is actually 3D and pegs become visible as the lights change colors. F and I were inspecting these when security was notified because we were looming over the super-stringent security line on the carpet.

I’ve seen Heather Jansch’s work online, but never up close. I was unaware that her sculptures are actually bronze, not driftwood, but you’d hardly know that from inspecting one up close (security allowed this).

This one took me off guard a little.

Pre-Portrait Gallery, we brunched at Poste. B wanted me to mention that he thought his Bloody Mary and Eggs Hussarde were delicious. I enjoyed the donuts.

What a great day look. You always look so chic! Is that woman sitting at the table real, or some sort of wax figure? I am trying to figure it out. hahaha
