I love how bike shorts make any dress instantly more mobile. Wore this to Poste (excellent cocktail and cheese selection, btw) on Friday for a friend's bday and could not have been more comfortable.

That's a great tactic, I have some biker shorts I haven't used in ages, but thanks to your great idea I think I'll be putting them to use for something other than sport :)

that dress is everything i want in a dress. the bright color (in my favorite hue of course) with the killer black pattern,with the fitted body, and the quarter length sleeves. loves it!
i just realized that i've been wearing the biker shorts for a while now, since what? three years ago i think. i wear them for the same reason you posted: mobility. cept i always rolled them up and never below the hems of my dresses.
and btw: yeah those shoes are stellar. the steel toes at the very tip of em are a excellent touch
