I’ll be the first to admit I’m a complete and total Bravo reality TV junkie and I’ve always been fascinated by the notion of a “glam squad” (having a team of makeup and hair stylists at your beck and call for special events or just everyday). A girl can dream, right? Well, believe it or not, us mere mortals can hire our very own glam squads without spending Real Housewives’ dollars. A service called (wait for it) GlamSquad recently opened in the DC area and it’s basically like Uber for hair, nail, and makeup artists. With locations already in NYC, Los Angeles, and Miami, all you have to do is select your desired services, date and time, and they come right to your home. GlamSquad invited me to give their services a test drive and let me tell you, I had a major Erika Jayne moment. I scheduled my GlamSquad appointment before B and my anniversary dinner at Centrolina and nothing makes a girl feel more glamorous than enjoying a cocktail in the comfort of your own home while two seasoned professionals apply a perfect smoky eye and beach waves. Of course I had to spring for the false eyelashes add-on ($20 for beautiful, natural lashes seemed well worth it). The hair and makeup wore beautifully over the course of the night and made me feel all fancy and princess-like for our anniversary. (For the record, Centrolina was such a great choice and I will totally be coming back for their delicious pasta and wine selection in the future.) Check out GlamSquad in action below!

Gorgeous! I love the print of that kimono.
And that is such a fun idea, especially for special occasions. I could’ve used that when I was a bridesmaid at my cousins wedding. Ended up having to do my own makeup because the girl who was supposed to do mine ran late and could only do the brides. *eyeroll* Too bad it’ll probably take forever to get to CT.

Um, this sounds awesome! I’m pretty terrible at glamming myself up, so sign me up for the help of professionals! (My husband probably wouldn’t even recognize me after!) You look gorgeous, I love the curls in your hair!
