Finally started making some headway with my Richmond photos! We stayed at the Berkley Hotel, which was charming and within walking distance of lots of yummy restaurants. We especially enjoyed breakfasting at Urban Farmhouse Market across the street (the cider doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches were divine).  On Friday, we had a lovely old school-style dinner at the Tobacco Company, a Richmond institution with a really cool ambiance. On Saturday, we were able to salvage a comically bland meal at a nearby seafood restaurant* with delicious cocktails and desserts at Bistro Bobette, whose owner, incidentally, has a family connection to Lavandou in DC. These photos are from Saturday, when we (I) did some shopping in Carytown and had a leisurely lunch at Secco (loved the cheese selection and roasted chicken sandwich), then wandered around the Fan and took some photos for future home ideas.

**Our own fault. We should have listened to some of your recommendations to try Kuba Kuba, but we got lazy 🙁

While we were taking photos, we got the feeling we were being watched…

Luckily they were handsome stalkers…

That dress is so perfect for the new season, I am in love with it.

I fell head over heels for Richmond last spring when I visited for just an afternoon. It was beautiful in a quirky way, historically fascinating, full of Southern charm, and apparently had more restaurants that I had the time to try. YUM!

Love the cutouts on the shoulders..I just recently purchased a shirt like that and love it! So feminine.

Isn't Richmond the sweetest…I used to travel there once every two to three months (I was the DM of a boutique at the Short Pump Town Center) and loved walking around the fan and strolling through the city streets. Such a homey feeling.
Are you moving there?

As a kid it thrilled me to know end that Dogwoods were Virginia's state tree. They are so pretty in the spring!

The last time I was in Richmond was to see Michael Buble perform. My sisters and I wandered around downtown- it's full of great architecture and amazing history.

I was about to comment on how much i loved your blue dress above, until i saw this one, I am most certainly leaving my comment here!

I love a floral, especially a big well thought out kind of watercolour floral. this is just beautiful, the shoulder cut outs make it extra special!

Yummy! Oh yes, I just said that!
