This is more of a home decor post than an outfit one. One of the many exciting things about moving into our new home has been that I have been able to bust my recently recovered wing chairs out of storage. This is one of them.
When I got these chairs, they were covered in some beige floral fabric that was just not my bag. I was looking for a blue and white fabric to recover them with and, I have to say, the choice was easy when I found this mesmerizing pattern. My general furniture-buying philosophy is to buy cheap and used, then update as needed. Sky Upholstery recovered these and I think they did a wonderful job for a very reasonable price. The fabric came from Calico Corners (which has a great online “lookbook,” chock full of decorating ideas).

I am in love with this damask print. I have this wonderful boudoir chair that my husband wants to chuck but I refuse. Just needs a face lift… much like this.
And the outfit is impeccable.
You did a great job — that chair has a fabulous design! I'm really excited about moving to a bigger place too so that I can decorate as much as I want.
Even though this isn't a style post, I like your outfit. I didn't think it was possible for those shoes to look any cooler, but those socks bring it to another level 🙂
I love the chair, the pose and just about everything. I am new to your blog, but it is just amazing!
Love your skirt and the chair looks great! xx

The chair upholstery is fantastic, I love how all the blues & whites in the photos go so well together
The chair looks incredible! Also wish I had those shoes.
The chair is beautiful!
northwest is best
What a wonderful chair! I would happily sit and read a Dickens novel in it. Also, I notice you've gone for the ankle socks and shoes look, which is definitely the way forward as we approach autumn.
Love the chair! It's so cool that you're into that, keeping more out of the landfills and restoring stuff that's already beautiful!
LOVE your outfit! so pretty! that chair is amazing!
love the chair AND the skirt!!!!!
Oh, I love Calico Corners! There used to be one just down the street from my old apartment – I found some clearance fabric and recovered an old bench with it!
Can we talk about these photos now? Because I love them. Everything from your outfit to the recovered chairs is perfection!
LOVE the structure and fabric on those chairs, and what a skirt! Great job pulling off the socks with sandals look, a trend which, despite it's potential for cuteness, is often poorly executed. Yours make the cut! (errrr, my cut), haha. Love it!
I don't know what I love more, your outfit our you chairs! I want to just steal this pic and tape it on my wall for inspiration!
Because that would be kind of creepy, and because I'm lazy, I am just going to hang it on my mental fridge. Um…You know what I mean.
But yes, LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Abolutely stunning x
A Stylized Hysteria
I love the idea of buying secondhand furniture and customizing it. The fabric you chose is fantastic. Great skirt, too!
That chair looks gorgeous! I have an old rocking chair that I'm considering reupholstering. Maybe having the pros do it would be a wise decision…
The chair looks fabulous – I want one for myself!! I just need to get a house where it will fit…. 🙂
