Sunday was such an amazing mix of laziness and business. Brunch was an all-day affair, broken up by a trip to the Georgetown Flea Market and visits from friends. It's been unseasonably cold, but at least it was sunny. These mesh leggings are perfect for warm weather layering, because they're sheer enough that I can pretend I'm not really layering... or something...

I don't think I've ever shared a good detail shot of this necklace that I wear all the time. It has this pretty landscape painted on it.

I've been biding my time for it to get cold enough to wear these leggings outdoors. They're pretty amazing, like having a sweater for your bottom half.  Somehow managed to channel Washington Crossing the Delaware with these photos...  Just get me a 3-cornered hat and I'm set.  Guess who needs a haircut?  This girl.

PS Last photo captured the maximum volume my hair has and will ever see.  Historic.

I don't mind your ritzing me drinking your lunch out of a bottle.

This is my rainy day, lounging outfit.  I'm in love with this incredible sweater/robe hybrid thing.  Kind of feel like it needs to be accessorized with a dry martini and a cigarette holder.

I've been tagged by la flore et la faune, Annie Spandex, and nearly stylish to answer these questions.  I like this tag a lot because it only requires one word answers, which plays well to my disturbingly short attention span.

For whatever reason, most of my SLR photos were pretty blurry, but my friend's point-and-shoot photos turned out fabulously, so with the exception of the first photo, she gets the credit for all these. Our seats were amazingly close and we danced our faces off, as you might expect.  A few more pics here.

Also, I owe a couple of you answers to tags and I have not forgotten.  I'm a just little slow with these things...

First, Dream Sequins had a great idea to kick off Fashion Week and Fall clothing coming into stores with my and other lovely fashion bloggers' favorite Fall trends.

Thursday was Wii Golf night and this is what I wore. No matter how hard I try, I'm still not very good at that game. As for my virtual golfing outfit, I'm excited for color this Fall. It's been getting colder here, so I thought I'd get started. Oh and the leggings have a great reptilian texture that I don't think I've properly captured on film before.

Kool-Aid

Kool-Aid

Just got back from a wonderfully relaxing weekend in the country and I'm looking forward to staying in one place for a few weeks. Highlights of my weekend included:

-pasta salad
-enjoying an outdoor concert in a beautiful setting
-impromptu dance parties with the girls
-delicious turkey and croissant sandwiches from an ever-so-slightly overpriced market

Lately, I've been rocking the leggings quite a bit, because I refuse to wear anything else on long car rides. This usually ends up making for some interesting color combinations when I precariously throw something comfy on top and hope for the best...

Crusty Jugglers

The shoot-out with the old people at the end of Hot Fuzz was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Glad B. and I caught up to 2007 and finally saw it.

I couldn't wait very long to wear the bonus pair of leggings I got the other day. Went to Trusty's on Saturday, which I will now be adding to my dive bar rotation - B. was very very excited to discover they have Buck Hunter. Good times.

My New Leggings Have Arrived!

These are cool.

Stitched Up Legs

I am very very excited about my new leggings. I feel like they kind of make my legs look like Sally's from the Nightmare Before Christmas, who apparently has an extensive Wikipedia entry. To top things off, the lovely people at Costume Department included a second, equally incredible pair, because these were shipped late (they were at Paris Fashion Week). I cannot wait to wear these all the time!

Leggings Love

I'm not over my leggings yet. Not by a long shot. However, lately, I've been feeling the need to jazz things up a little. Thankfully, I discovered Costume Dept. and ordered the magnificent pair above. And I might be coming back soon for more...
