Newport, part II

Newport was too photogenic to be confined to just one post.

This town is filled with fantastically ornate wrought iron gates. Kind of makes one intrigued to know what lies behind them, which was one of the major reasons we couldn’t leave without seeing the Breakers.

We went to the Newport Creamery for breakfast on Sunday before we left, where B and the boys saw Bill Murray the day before. Contrary to what you might think, the “Awful Awful” is actually pretty wonderful.

The activity sheets were quite creative, featuring such search terms as “Moon Bear” and “Zoo Camp.”

You're such an awesome photographer. I especially love the one of the blue fountain (?) with the ram heads.

AHH Awful Awfuls! I haven't had one in a few years…perhaps I should make those a priority on my next trip home. And so funny that Bill Murray was hanging out there!

Your sweater is fantastic. The pattern is so classic, it really does fit right in with the Newport scenery.

I love your pictures of Newport! I used to go every summer as a kid, but haven't been back since I was 16 or so… Did you have a root beer float at the Creamery? It's one of my best memories of my childhood. Soooo delicious there, and the mansions were always amazing!

New England States are almost a version of old Europe. Never been to Newport, RI, but it sure looks like an amazing vacation spot.

Thanks for your kind words!

I agree with the above comments; your photos are incredible.

Those light posts with the faces are beautiful, yet creepily realistic.

Thanks again.
