I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited for a fall trend as I am for rust-hued blazers. Ok, hyperbole, yes, but hear me out. This vintage Escada one has been in my closet for years. And before that, it was my mom’s. The elbows are embarrassingly worn now, and both of us have been searching for a suitable replacement for YEARS. Well, 2020 might have a silver, er, rust lining after all, because there is truly an abundance of options to choose from. Here are the ones I’m currently eyeing…

  • The Closest Match: I think the closest I can get to the original is this vintage one, but this contemporary style is also in the running. More affordable version to consider here.
  • The Leather Option: If you want an edgier look, snag one in leather. Leather blazers are another fall trend I’m stoked about – cool yet classy!
  • Cozy Corduroy: Go a little more laid-black with this version in corduroy – perfect for layering over fall sweaters. (Plus it’s currently on sale with code ‘COZY’!)
  • A Hint of Plaid: Incorporating a subtle plaid gives the blazer a “borrowed from the boys” vibe I absolutely love. And really, nothing says fall like plaid, amiright?

Which one is your favorite?

It’s such a great color (and fabric!) That verishop one is beautiful! If only I didn’t have too many blazers (and a couple wine/burgundy colored ones) already haha!

I love it when a piece you’ve had forever becomes a trend of the moment. I have a satin rust blazer (well, I call it rust, others insist it’s pink, but lets just consider it a spectrum) that I’m excited to pull out again, and a big yes to the leather blazer as well, I think that is going to be a must for this fall!

This outfit is absolutely amazing! Rust is not a color I tend to choose when I shop for new garments, but you might convince me! <3
