5 amazing face masks to treat your skin to a little TLC

The one positive of zero social obligations for the foreseeable future? There’s never been a better time to treat your skin to a really good face mask. Make a night of it. Turn off your phone notifications, light a candle, set your playlist to Enya, and let one of these fabulous masks work their magic!

Biologique Recherche Masque VIP O2 – I’ll start with the gold standard. This oxygenating mask has been in my arsenal ever since I was introduced to it at DC’s Mandarin Oriental Spa many many years ago. Recommended for “stressed skin” (i.e. pretty much everyone’s right now),  this mask has an amazing cooling sensation and soothes even the most irritated skin. I also love that it’s gentle enough to use on your eyes and lips too!

Darphin Lumiere Essentielle Instant Purifying and Illuminating Mask – This two part mask does double duty by cleansing with a clay detox mask then plumping and hydrating with a velvety botanical and Hyaluronic acid-infused gel. My skin always glows after using this one.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask – Affordable and effective, I often use this one to refresh dry skin when I’m traveling, especially after long plane rides. Lately I’ve been using it once week and my skin is loving it.

The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peeling Solution – This super cheap, highly effective peel will leave leave your skin looking super dewy and fresh after you use it. Just make sure to moisturize a lot and stay out of the sun the next day. Also, less is more with this powerful peel. I recommend no more than once a week.

Skincando Wild Honey Face Mask – Ok, so I’ve definitely shared this one before, but it’s in my regular rotation and worth mentioning again.  Packed with high-quality ingredients like Cretian wild honey, reishi mushroom, and gold, I use this wild honey cleanser as a hydrating mask to calm my skin while gently exfoliating. This little product really does it all and it’s a safe bet for anyone with sensitive skin.

Oh my these sound excellent. The Darphin and Ordinary masks in particular sound super good. I have heard good things about The Ordinary and want to try their eye gel.
