Before you navigate away because you think I’m advocating pajama jeans or yoga pants for the office, hear me out. I love good crisp button-down and fitted pencil skirt as the next girl, but when it comes to workwear, I almost always go for the knits. Like most people, I work at a job that requires me to sit at a desk eight hours a day. The last thing I want is an overly fitted skirt digging into my rib cage or a blouse I’m constantly readjusting throughout the day. My ideal workwear involves stretchy soft fabrics I can sit comfortably in. My favorite outfit combos are oversized blazers over a simple shell tops with slim fit knit pants, ribbed knit dresses and boots, and big cozy cardigans for layering.  This skirt is the perfect fall-to-winter workwear staple – soft and comfy, but thick enough to hold a flattering flared shape. I styled it here with a turtleneck (another one of my office favorites) and pointy mules (easy to kick off and switch for the flats when I’m using my standing desk). Check out my favorite work outfit combos below with current pieces you can shop!

Oversized Blazer + Basic Shell Top + Slim Fit Pants

An oversized blazer layered over a simple top and skinny stretchy pants is a super flattering combo. It’s also easy to mix and match if you get similar pieces in different colors.

Knit Dresses + Knee-High Boots

The easiest work combo ever, a good knit dress and knee-high boots is my go-to on days when I’m running late and don’t have time to think about my outfit.

Big Cardigan + Belt + Skinny Pants + Ankle Boots

I love layering an eye-catching print over an all-black ensemble for work. Belting the cardigan makes the look more sleek and finished than leaving the cardigan open.

These are spot-on formulas I think so many women can adopt and make their own! And that Tibi skirt…sigh…the structure!

I’m so glad you liked them! I struggle to make workwear interesting but still appropriate so I’m always looking for ideas, too!

Oooh that skirt is amazing! You can definitely dress it up even more for special occasions too.
And those outfit ideas are all perfection! If I still worked in an office I would definitely wear them, especially the first combo, I do love a good oversized blazer!
