Getting into that bleak point in winter when the holidays are over and the novelty of snow has worn off. My thoughts are starting to turn towards warmer weather. This sweater was probably meant for warmer days, but it’s days like these that make me think of pale pastels as winter colors rather than spring colors.

more great t.s. eliot–a girl after my own heart!!! you won me over very first with a quote from prufrock, i still remember.
i love the snow-inspired outfit and the silhouette of long slouchy top with mini.

Jealous. Want sweater. Want snow.

Well. Today was gorgeous. Sunny and 57. Practically summer. But still. Huge puddles everywhere to call the recent monsoon to mind, and dark clouds over the mountains that foretell yet more rain…That thing they say about Oregon? Its true. And so boring. I love the fleecy little drifts of dry snow over your lawn. So pretty.

That is a lovely outfit. I've been freezing this winter, but your look today makes me want to step outside in fishnet tights!

And the boots are amazing.

Ooh what a lovely sweater – the hems are too fun.

You're also reminding me I really need to check H&M for accessories when I'm back – love your tights!

Wow…I am in love with the sleeves of your vintage knit…so beautiful! Makes me want to scour around for something as lovely as that. And love, love, those H&M fishnets. Hot.

I love the sweater it's gorgeous, paired with the skirt and boots it's a stunning outfit.

We didn't get enough snow in England to get sick of it, some areas did but I certainly didn't. I half want more snow and half want spring to arrive.

These boots are TO DIE FOR! Gorgeous outfit.

Looking great! I'm starting to think about spring too – it's been surprisingly warm for the past week. But maybe I should be more cautious because it snowed last April. Anyway, what a lovely top! Delicate and delightful.

Your sweater os sp harmonious! I love it! and the combo with the dress (which I though was a skirt haha) makes it even more dreamier. Then again the boots give it a nice bold touvh. I used to have those! I saw them, fell in love and then I realized I had not enough money for both my camera (Canon Rebel T2i) and the booties, so I returned them. 🙁 bummer.

I love the long sweater over the mini, it's a look I'd love to create. Pale hues do feel more like stark winter than spring which is bright and bursting with new color.

Reply

Oh, I love the outfit, tights and photos!!!

That's such a pretty jumper. I love the style of it and the pastel colour is so preety. Definitley putting me in te mood for spring.

The sweater itself is very delicate like a snowflake. Very winter approp.

Ok. In case I forgot how much I love you, Chic, you remind me by quoting the Wasteland. Ah, life is good.

You look amazing. And even more so that you are wearing less in snow than I wear in California. I am such a cold person I guess, all bundled up complete with hat indoors.

Love the pale color made interesting with the mix of texture.

You are a sartorial master, Miss. I love you.

I love the layering and the mix of fabric. You're looking fabulous as always. Such great style!

Loving your sweater's scalloped edges and your fantastic shoes. The light colors look amazing on you and are surprising for winter!

Reply

That sweater looks so soft! Love the look of it! Also those tory burch heeled boots are fantastic!

I love the monochromatic look! You outfit (and specifically your sweater) match the [dead] grass in the background perfectly and I like that; it means you're seasonally appropriate. Not that that matters…

I have a pair of light colored fishnets that I've never worn; I may just have to break them out later this week. Thanks for the inspiration!

I like how the delicate chain of your pendant necklace compliments the lace of your top!

i always love pastels and whites in the winter. things i also love: the sleeves on that sweater, the gorgeous locket, and THOSE BOOTS!

I find it to be a daily struggle to continue wearing winter clothes after the holidays. This is a lovely looking-forward-to-spring outfit while still being season-appropriate.

Reply

I like that you're leaning towards light colors and pastels right now. This is precisely the moment that I start leaning on dark, black-heavy outfits to match the bleak weather.

Reply

I need nude fishnets! It's official!

Reply

I love pastels in the winter. I'm definitely looking forward to warmer weather. It would be nice to get out of sweaters and heavy coats.

Reply

I think I'm also feeling done with winter, so to speak. I wore a very spring-y outfit today, too.
