I just got this jumpsuit back from the tailor.  Can you believe this gem went unnoticed on the thrift store rack? A few quick cinches in the usual spots and a little refurbishing on the buttons in the back and it’s golden. Still trying to decide whether to lengthen the leg more or not – what do you think?

I’ve never been much of a hat person, but I’ve been on the hunt for a bowler for quite some time now. Then I saw Sarah of Mocha Soy Whippy rocking this marvelous chapeau in a damn near perfect fall ensemble and I knew I would have to move heaven and earth to to find a local H&M that had it. Thankfully, for the first time in history, the usually disappointing Tysons H&M had the awesomeness I was in search of. It’s not quite a bowler, but it has that wonderful rounded shape that I love so much. Might just be a hat convert now…

Yay for hat trying! Me too! I'm on that band wagon! And you look, my dear, so lovely in this, and that fall light is gorgeous. The black suits your perfectly and I actually think the leg length is perfect.

Oh, so classy and pretty. Love that hat, goes great with the outfit. I like the lenght but it might look even better if it was longer.

the jumpsuit is simply stunning. In the first couple of photos, I didn't even realize it was a jumpsuit…I thought it was a stunning gown. And then, it picture number 3, a glimpse of sunshine at the knees!

Well done. Do you have alterations done frequently?

The jump suit was a great find — I do think I'd like the leg longer.

Ooo I love the hat. H&M had another great vintage looking hat that I was thinking of purchasing. I bought a panama-esque hat over the summer and was not brave enough to wear it. So I think I may not be a hat person.

Love the hat and the jumper was a fab find. I would only make the hem longer on it if you really want to.

lovely find indeed! personally i would lengthen the hem slightly to complete the effect.

as for hats, i have been a hat person for years and have been hearing so many claim that they aren't hat people, or that hats don't suit them. my take is that it's just a matter of finding a hat you love in the right fit, and voilà! a hat person is born! 🙂 anyway it looks great on you.

so pretty! I think the leg length is perfect too! Great for showing off those hot shoes 🙂

Hi sweetie,
Thanks so much for the mention i'm glad you liked my outfit! and you should totally wear hats more, this looks great on you. I never used to wear them but now outfits seem incomplete without them! haha.

Loving the jumpsuit, it looks perfect! especially the mesh detailing at the top. XXXX

From the thrift store?! That's one of the best jumpsuits I've seen! I love the netting type material on the top!

You look amazing!

can't really help you with the hem decision cos i'm also always confused which is a more flattering length for me. it's wide-legged? but i see the slight tapered.

i got some very cheap hats from tibet. just never got around to the habit. this outfit's very cute on you.

Wow, what a thrift find! I think the length is golden as is, because it shows off your shoes nicely.

I asdore Hats in all shapes and forms. I wear bespoke hats myself because I like being individual, but the hat pictured above is very pretty, too. The dress is lovely.

I know what you mean. I've always loved hats, but I feel funny wearing them sometimes. I got a cloche hat from Target the other day and wore it out on the town, and I got a lot of stares and compliments. I think you look lovely in your hat, and when I saw your outfit, I was thinking about how chic it looked rather than "hey, she's wearing a hat." So yeah, it works 🙂
