No specific reason for the strange location, except that there was an empty fountain in the park and B and I thought it would be cool to take photos in it.  I wore this scarf with pretty much everything while I was in New Mexico.  It looks like an abstract painting of a southwestern sunset to me, so it seemed fitting.

chile field

It still blows me away to see fields of red and green chiles growing all over the place, so I went wild with the photos.

I’ve been going on and on about the New Mexico landscape in the past few posts, so I thought I would share my favorite landscape by Peter Hurd, who captures the Hondo Valley so perfectly.

This particular piece is at the Roswell Museum and Art Center, which B and I have visited a few times and really has quite an impressive selection.  Also cool: you can pass by this very spot and still see the original house and trees that you see here in the painting.

Those leggings with the booties – yes yes! So perfect.

Also, I love the neat little fact you worked in about how you can still see the original house and trees in the painting. Very cool, indeed.

Also also, I did love that dog you posted photos of on Sunday! He's such a beautiful dog and you got great photos of him. Man, I want a dog so badly!
