opera outfit

Sorry for the lapse in blogging. B and I are going out of town for the long weekend and things have been a little hectic. Last night we saw Turandot at the Kennedy Center, which was quite the spectacle. It’s kind of a bizarre, sinister love story and the set design was wonderfully disconcerting. My favorite part was these giant masks of Turandot’s beheaded suitors that streamed with red yarn to symbolize blood – deliciously morbid. I was disappointed I couldn’t find more pics online to share with you.

As for my opera-going outfit, I was feeling a bit opulent, I suppose. I’ve had this blouse in my closet for a while and lord knows why I haven’t worn it sooner. Better late than never, right?
