An outfit from our first full day on Nantucket – one that was so relaxing and enjoyable, we didn’t feel the need to leave The Wauwinet! After taking a leisurely stroll on the beach in the morning, we lunched at Topper’s, the inn’s highly-rated restaurant, and were not at all disappointed. Unfortunately I couldn’t try the locally-sourced oysters that they’re known for (B said they were delicious), but my fried chicken sandwich topped with “sri-ranch-a” and kimchee plus a bite or two of B’s buttery lobster roll easily made up for that. And I loved that the breads were served in Nantucket lightship baskets. After lunch we went for a bike ride on a couple of the inn’s complimentary bicycles – a great way to explore the island. Of course we needed to re-fuel after such a strenuous endeavor, which proved to be right about the time the inn was serving their afternoon cheese and port (not that we timed it that way or anything ;-).

Ohhhh, lobster rolls! I'm drooling just thinking about it. I've never been to Nantucket but I've always wanted to go! I'm loving those sandals (and that picture of the cheese and port!)

And all that food looks SO good (Except the oysters, haha, they feel a little too gross for me)

Even for people who aren't allergic to seafood (I'm assuming you were, or allyrgic to oysters, but if not then oh well) I feel like there's some strange thing with oysters that makes them unsettling… haha. Just the fact that you're sucking slime from a hard split rock basically. I dunno, man.

The fringe on your top is gorgeous!
