I’m going to start by saying Loft has been kind of a godsend as I start to accept that, no, I cannot just squeeze myself into my normal clothes for the remainder of my pregnancy and, yes, I will, in fact, have to invest in a new wardrobe for summer. I didn’t want to spend too much money on maternity clothes and honestly wasn’t loving what I was finding from some of the cheaper brands. Luckily one of my friends told me how much she liked Loft’s maternity clothes so I went to the store in Georgetown to try some things on. Even though they don’t carry the maternity line in stores, I quickly found that just ordering a size up in some of their looser silhouettes was quite flattering while still allowing me some room to grow. And the bonus was the price tag! I walked away with a full summer wardrobe for less than $300 (40% off ftw)! Now I’m all set for work and a few summer events with minimal maternity shopping tears shed (and believe me, that’s a small miracle).

Loving this outfit!! And yay for being able to size up on pieces! I hope I'm able to do that instead of just buying all maternity clothes. Summer is a good time to be pregnant clothes-wise. But I imagine the heat is going to be gross….so bit of a compromise. Easy clothes, uncomfortable weather.

You look so comfy and chic! I tried not to buy many maternity clothes either–so expensive for how little time you wear them! And when I did buy them, I tried to make sure I could wear them not pregnant also. I loved Old Navy and thrifting for cheap maternity clothes!

Yeah, good thing Loft clothes run huge! Maybe you could even still wear this dress post-baby if you add a belt or something?

You always look so sophisticated and I didn`t even know you were pregnant, congrats dear! You`re right about maternity clothes, I`m expecting my number 3 this August so trying to buy just a normal stuff one or two sizes bigger:) (this will still be useful until I get back in shape after pregnancy:) (hopefully:)

Ok wow, that maxi dress is everything on you and we're adoring all of your details. We basically need your hair and all your bracelets. So good to know that Loft's looser clothes work as maternity wear. You look utterly gorgeous!
