This was pretty much my uniform for cold weather errand-running over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. This beautiful DeNada scarf is so warm it doesn't even require a coat most of the time. Kind of a refreshing option to have as we enter into the dreaded "coat weather."



These gloves are another great winter option. Not only are they text/smartphone-friendly, but they function equally well for hastily applying makeup in one's car while sitting in traffic (hypothetically speaking, of course).

This is what I wore for a cider pairing dinner at Birch and Barley, where I was quickly educated that not all ciders are fizzy and sweet. Pleasantly surprised by the dry and wine-like varieties and looking forward to visiting Virginia producers Foggy Ridge, Castle Hill, and Albemarle in the not-so-distant future.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm currently obsessed with this particular shade of purple. So much, in fact, that I purchased this Illamasqua nail varnish today in much the same hue...

Since taking this baby out of the box Friday evening, I've been wearing this little Sophie Hulme bag constantly. I've kind of hemmed and hawed over the new bag situation for a while. I think what made me finally take the plunge on this one was that it strikes the perfect balance between classic and cool with it's traditional shape and the right amount of hardware.

Wore this outfit for drinks at Screwtop almost two weeks ago (per usual, I'm a little behind). Huge fan of the snacks there - sometimes something as simple as grilled cheese sliders with tomato coulis for dipping is exactly what I need. Also tried a sparkling Malbec for the first time, which was marvelous.
