brunch at the waterwheel

brunch at the waterwheel

Taking a quick break from moaning and groaning and icing my chipmunk cheeks* to share this outfit from last weekend. My friends and I took a trip to Hot Springs, VA for a relaxing weekend of “taking the waters” and lots of yummy meals. One of my favorites was brunch at The Inn at Gristmill Square. Charming location and delicious trout. Given my current diet of applesauce and mashed potatoes, I have to admit I’m a bit nostalgic for this meal!

Have you tried putting ice packs in pantyhose and putting that on your face? I remember them recommending that when I got mine out. Oh, and stay away from ice cream with anything hard in it, including chocolate chips. I made that mistake and it was no fun. Hope you feel better soon!

When I got my wisdom teeth out, my mother had this wonderful idea:

take a velcro-ing balaclava and wrap two ice packs in towels. put one ice pack in each side of the balaclava and then put it on, making sure the ice packs are secure. This was a lifesaver for whenever I needed to do something mildly active, plus it's much easier to replace. Also: this is one of those times that KFC mashed potatoes are MORE than allowed.
Hope you're feeling better!

I think those skinny jeans were made for you. They're such a perfect color!

Also, eep! I'm sorry to hear about the surgery. Hopefully you'll recover very quick and be able to eat super yummy foods yet again. 😉 Oatmeal and ice cream for you!

I just adore your seafoam skinnies!

I hope you are feeling better soon! And i'm not sure how much it technically helps, but an ice cream smoothie (or two) certainly can't hurt.
