Banana Republic After 5 Recap

I had such a wonderful time playing with clothes and generally being a goof with Elizabeth, Rachel, and Vyqué at the Banana Republic "After 5 Event!" Such lovely and fun girls to be around! Thanks to everyone that came. It was great to see some familiar faces (like the always delightful Megan Nielsen) and meet some new bloggers (like Ana of DMV's Got Style)!



We each got our own VIP dressing room, which of course was put to good use :-)

Just finished watching an episode of "No Reservations" based in the Amazon and contemplating how terribly I would fare in such a climate. Though, in looking at these pictures, I feel like they have a twinge of Amazonia about them... maybe it's the warrior princess sandals...

My Banana Republic "After 5 Event" Attire

As part of my "After 5 Event" hosting duties, I had the opportunity to style an outfit from Banana Republic's always-tempting selection. I seized the chance to snatch up a much-needed summer straw fedora and some neon stripes. Kind of fell in love with this neat little ladylike raffia purse and this military-esque vest thing, too.

In retrospect, I wonder if I'm not one pole short of some fine fishing garb, but this will have to be contemplated further at a later date.
