It’s getting coooold. Man, I’m a little shocked I spent as much time outside as I did this weekend without losing a limb. Ok, I might be exaggerating a little (completely), but all I’ve wanted to do lately is curl up in front of the fire with as many blankets as I can get my hands on. Thankfully, this sweater and skirt are comprised of blanket-soft fabrics so I can delude myself into pretending my bones aren’t freezing when I step outside. Again, being over-dramatic (kind of… not).

The utilitarian drawstring closure thingies on these Tory Burch boots are off the hook! I confess I’ve never been much of a Tory Burch fan (the gold monogram-emblazoned pieces were kind of a turn-off), but these I can definitely sink my teeth into.

PS These boots were originally from Shopbop (I linked to the ones on the Tory Burch site since they don’t have them up anymore) – a purchase with the help of the amazing gift certificate I won from Cindy Whitehead’s giveaway! Thank you again Cindy!

this whole outfit looks like it was made perfectly for each other! so cool! The bungee tie things for the boots are a very cool concept, I know what you mean about the hate for the logo-ness but these boots dont scream that at all

My first thought today was "wow, I would never have thought of putting those colours together" they look fabulous though!

The boots are amazing and I can totally agree with wanting to stay warm, I never feel warm even in the summer it has to be really hot for me to say its hot. A blanket would be nice, there is always room for more blankets.

I love how this outfit is such a revival of late-80s early-90s (boxy blazer, long skirt, waist belt) and then the boots suddenly make it all seem very current. This is one of my favorite looks of yours!
